About Us
King’s Networking is the product of several people’s vision. It is a partnership formed by Hollie Gandy, an insurance and financial services provider and Hugh Bryant, an Oil and Gas Lease Broker, both residing in Amarillo, Texas. It is first a website with a Christian business directory, started initially because several people at Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo, Texas wanted to do business with each other. We asked the church leadership if there was such a listing that already existed, and the answer by Senior Pastor Marty Rowley was, “No, but it sounds like a good idea!”
Those of us present at the meeting began discussing the viability of such a directory for two main reasons:
1. There is at least a reasonable chance that is you are doing business with other church members, ie Christians, there is an implied ethical connection and professionalism that you don’t have when searching the Yellow Pages.
2. There is also a reasonable chance that some of the monies expended on that product or service will flow back into the ministry of the church or A church.
Hugh Bryant immediately saw an opportunity for business people to serve God by conducting their business as ministries meeting the needs of people around them and doing so in a way that would honor God and follow kingdom principles. When the two got together the concept of Neworking.com was birthed. We believe it is this difference that will make our directory be successful from the start. Hollie Gandy and Hugh Bryant formed and funded a partnership to bridge the gap between need and provider by way of an internet site that would allow Church Members of any Church who wanted to participate to review a list of providers for consideration. The lifegroup or Bible study portion of the organization provides a means to get to know other business people in a deeper way for uplifting and prayer support.
The memberships purchased for listing your business with us are simply to pay expenses, and any extra funds to be used for maintenance and expansion of the website AND for special projects. Any funds left over will be made available for community needs and benevolence but never for profit. While we believe business should be conducted with a profit such a motivation is inappropriate in this instance.
It is our hope that the Body of Christ will find not only the service providers they need but connections and relationships that will grow and last. Further, it is our purpose that such connections shall strengthen fellowship within the Christian church Body.
